The thing is, it is mighty convenient to control resources an entire system was built on. If you look at why we did not build out economies on renewables from the get go (we used to use hydropower for factories f.ex.) it has everything to do with control and nothing with efficiency. i will write an article on this soon.
Anyways, my idea is not playing the blame game, but to inspire people to say no more, and hold people accountable for knowingly rendering the earth uninhabitable.
Most of these companies do not want to lose money/power/market share, but they still fail to transition towards renewables.
If there wasn’t so much vested interest in them in political and policy making circles, they would be facing criminal courts and not getting subsidised. Now, they are paid to pollute.
