Okay, so it’s happening to Audible. After years of using Audible as a borrowing service in essence- I just got a message that they were limiting book returns.

So the way it worked is that you get a credit a month with your membership and you can return your books anytime. Since some books are just a waste of space to keep on my phone after listening to them once, I have returned them after finishing. And it seems like millions of other people had the same idea.

And now, I can even lose my rights to return books bc “we want to encourage ppl to use Audible as a bookstore and keep their audiobooks". Except it’s never hoing to be like real books, but ok.

If they would cancel my return privileges, I’d cancel my membership for sure. If after 5 years of monthly payments they limit my options instead of giving me more perks.. now that’s annoying as hell.

Plus they are an amazon company, so … yeah. I don’t use Amazon itself but I do use Bookdepository and Audible and always felt slightly uneasy about it.
