I used to work out 6 times a week. HIIT with my PT twice, three yoga sessions and one trail run. Then I got injured multiple times. Sprained ankle, whiplash in my neck and broke my ribs twice. Took me over 18 months to heal. Restarting serious workout has been the most taxing thing I have ever done. Even jogging for 20 minutes hurts so much, I want to quit. I gained 20kg during these 18 months, so on top of the injury, the weight is hurting my ankles and shins as well. At yoga, bc of the excess weight I am unable to do things that I could with zero effort before. The only thing that keeps me going is telling myself to take one more step, and get better little by little. It is so painful to feel weak, there really is only one way to go from here, and it is uphill. Thanks for sharing!
