As the article states: you have no notion of how it feels for people of colour as a white person. (Male at it, the most privileged section of society). Simply nothing at all. No experience in your skin.

Believe me, nobody would be “preoccupied” with racism, had it not been shoved into our faces from the moment we were born.

This is not fun for us, not something we have chosen. We are tired of fighting to be treated as any other person.
